When speaking of Madison one word continually surfaces – amazing! Madi, as she is known to friends and family, has a special gift of empathy and compassion. She loves Jesus with all her heart and prays for those who are ill, hurt or different in some way. Some say she has a direct link to God because of the quick responses to her prayers. She has a friendly smile, a keen sense of humor, and an amazing memory.

When the doctors confirmed at birth that she had Down Syndrome, her parents knew that Madison's life path would be different than that of her older sister. And although Madison's life is full of people who lover her and hold her dear... her parents wrestle with the question of what the future will hod for Madison when they are gone, or are no longer able to care for her. What will become of her quality of life, what opportunities will challenge her and keep her engaged in new life experiences, will her life continue to allow her to experience the definition of community through relationships that are real and lasting?
