Suzy Norman is a volunteer with WINGS and shares her experiences:

Why do you volunteer at WINGS?

Every day I realize how truly blessed by the WINGS students ability to accept each other and encourage one another. They teach me what the rest of the world should be like in their kindness, smiles, hugs, genuine concern, honesty, and love.

What is a positive experience you've had while volunteering?

It's so great how the other volunteers and students alike try to learn Sign Language so they can communicate with everyone at WINGS directly. Simple things like seeing the students accomplish something that they had not been able to before, and then see the other students take time to congratulate them is truly amazing.

Why do you think others should volunteer at WINGS?

I think that others should definitely volunteer at WINGS because they would be amazed at the welcome they will receive the moment they walk through the door. If you volunteer at WINGS you will be blessed ten times more then whatever you give. God has truly blessed the artist at WINGS because here, there are no labels for "friends," only genuine love.
